The first step is to realize that what you are experiencing is simply your mind and body’s way of telling you that your stress and anxiety levels are too high.  Picture a pressure cooker in your mind.  Eventually the pressure becomes too much and steam is released through a loud whistle, this relieves the pressure.  Your mind and body are acting in a very similar manner.  The pressure has built up and it gets released via a panic attack.
